Ratehang Projects is a dynamic, black female owned South African Professional Civil Engineering business that provides clients with expertise and innovative solutions in Civil & Structural Engineering, Engineering Project Management, Building Construction, Property development and Plant Hire

Trading since 2007, the business has 9 years of experience in the construction industry. Ratehang was birthed from the EDWIN / WBHO Enterprise Development programme and is striving to become independent and self-sustaining, actively contributing to building a better South Africa.

Ratehang’s Managing Director, Gift Mpho Mogodi, is a qualified Civil Engineer with over 15 years’ experience in the industry and is hands on in the business on a daily basis.

Ratehang Projects has 3 divisions. These include:

Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, including construction and project management
Plant hire and
Property development

Civil Projects are run either as turnkey solutions or as Implementation only services. We specialise in infrastructure, building roads and storm water drainage, sewer and water reticulation, plumbing, waterproofing and refurbishments. Ratehang Projects has plant hire divisions that both services our own projects and are hired out. The final pillar of the business offers property development and renovations.

At the heart of “Ratehang”, a Sotho word meaning “to be loveable”, is shared success and quality in all we do. We actively contribute to improving the quality of industry skills and strive towards a positive impact. We build people by building professional acumen, in so doing we are also building opportunity, dignity and hope in our country.

We provide training opportunities to engineering students and graduates in order to build broader participation in a field that has a scarcity of young black talent. We want to advance knowledge and skill by meaningful hands on learning. Embedded in this is our drive to deliver quality processes and outcomes, sorely lacking often in this environment. All staff and trainees are also schooled in our comprehensive environmental policy, which we believe to be integral to quality.
